Solar Europe (Pty) Ltd - Solar Product Importer, Manufacturer & Distributor

I am use to the onsite ordering from other shops. The online store however does not offer payment or delivery options. These can only be done via email and telephone. After making the payment and two calls later I received the invoice without any information regarding the status of the order. Another phone call this morning confirming it was ready for collection I spent another 20 minutes at the same waiting area as onsite purchases. Even though we are a household customer the lack of updates and proper online convenience made this an experience I would rather not repeat. Both the products also had minor issues (the solar light's motion detection does not work, the explanation "a error from the manufacturer’s side on the product description" even though is a feature on the website & invoice & box) and the AOHAI inverter have delay on switch over and causes the WIFI to drop. Settings not as good as i.e. MECER.

Oh, what a glorious spectacle of customer service perfection! I had the rare privilege of tangling with a woman whose razor-sharp wit and warmth could make a cactus wince, banning me from their sacred establishment with all the grace of a sledgehammer—my crime? Merely whispering the unholy word "refund." A true masterpiece of hospitality that should be etched into the annals of "how to lose customers and alienate people"!

During our recent visit to Solar Europe (Pty) Ltd on 12 June 2023 to collect our Solar equipment we experienced a well organized team to assist us to load the equipment. Jannie, Marcell, Ashton, Joseph & another employee went all the way since we arrived 45min before closure, to load the equipment & accessories only to finish almost an hour after hours....well done and we appreciate your kindness and positive attitude....Our trip home went smooth for the first approximate 180kms of travel on the N3 highway, but with a short distance left on the R103 to a small town Cornelia, we had a narrow escape when the tie down straps securing the panels to the wooden pallet collapsed due to ware & tare caused by motion and the sharp edged wooden pallet strips....The eight stacked bound panels started to hang over to the right and before I could make a stop it fell over landed on the frame of the trailer, luckily the rear side of the panels....Due to a highjack troubled route we could not stop but slowed down to make it into Cornelia where friends helped us to lift the stacked bound panels and tie it down with four tie down straps. The last 10kms dirt road home went extremely slow since I got onto the trailer to stabilize the panels, while my wife did the slow drive home. Next morning we got help to offload the trailer and could not see any visible damage to the panels. Please do not see this as a negative review, but rather as a lesson to learn by both parties Customer and Supplier to consider all facts..ie total travel distance from the Supplier to Customer, road conditions, tie down material and methods.....In my humble opinion method to tie down panels should allow the straps used to be long enough to anchor it to the trailer and then around the perimeter of the bound stack of panels and then anchored on the opposite side of the trailer, all slack removed....Finally, all was done in good faith and will I, being a satisfied Customer, continue to highly recommend doing business with Solar Europe (Pty) Ltd. At completion of the installation we had surplus items and Solar Europe went another extra mile to refund us since we are the end users of their quality products. A special word of appreciation to Anel, Daisie, Josh, Kobus and the Finance team all involved to make it happen. We look forward doing business with you again!

Refused to refund my lithium battery. After it was tested and was confirmed nothing was wrong by their own technicians . I had the battery for 2 hours and attempted to return it the same day . My inverter wasn't compatible. No refund not our problem.

Absolutely shocking service. promised me a delivery date of 1 to 3 days. 2 weeks later product arrived. they refused to refund my payment. would never recommend them to anyone. would not have even given them 1 star .

From Start to finish (Sales, technical and after sales support) I can truly recommend Angelique, Matthew and Kobus. An excellent team that goes the extra mile for the customer. We'll done you guys, I am very impressed

Slow after-sales support. My faulty battery has been with the for almost 2 months for testing.
