I highly recommend them. They were able to fix a lot of errors and incomplete work from a previous installer who failed many times to fix his own work. They made my solar system to work smoothly and efficiently. They are very professional and have great expertise in the solar industry. Excellent service!!!I am a happy client.

Follow-Up Review – One Year Later It’s been a year since my initial review, and unfortunately, nothing has changed. The service remains terrible, if not worse. On Monday, we reached out again for assistance and even paid a call-out fee, which was not a problem. On Tuesday, they showed up only to remove the broken fuse—then disappeared without any further communication or resolution. Wednesday came, and they were silent like ghosts. No updates, no follow-up. By Thursday, we had to fight with them the entire day just to get assistance. The store manager was incredibly disrespectful and only decided to help at 5 PM, after an entire day of frustration. I stand by my original statement—don’t use their services. Rather, try other GC Solars. This level of service is unacceptable. Paying customers deserve better than being ignored and disrespected. If you value proper support and accountability, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere Initial review: Terrible service. They prioritise new installations once your system is installed and you have error messages and challenges with the system you must fight just so they take your query seriously! Major regrets.

A previous installer "enhanced" my system I had since Jan 2020. After that it was a mess, huge mess. I walked past the GS Solar shop and asked if they could assist. A few hours later a site visit was done, explanation of what they suggest and a quote. The very next day the job was done by a team , they were professional, very friendly and helpful. The job was done and the site was left cleaner than before they started.

Excellent solar experience! It's great to be able to walk into a shop and discuss your solar options in person. They gave a reasonable quote on a system that suits our needs exactly and then installed it very professionally. I really recommend them.

Had a terrible experience with these guys. Bought a 5kw back up system. Had one item that I wanted to return, 40A AC Combiner box. I was under the impression that it would be a 63A box. Phoned the salesman immediately and he tells me they don't have 63A in stock, I can return for a credit but not for cash, I say I am fine with that. I then purchase a 63A box elsewhere and then go to return the 40A box, only to be met with by the manager or superior as he calls himself. Supposedly the combiner box is "intellectual property and cannot be returned", never mind that the salesmen informed me I can return it. Also according to him GC Solar has 35% handling fee return policy, and I must check on the website.I leave after a few minutes and check the GC Solar website, handling fee is 15%, so the manager is a liar or does not know the policies of the franchise he owns. Also checked the prices of the AC combiner box. They sold me the 40A box for R4500 but the same is sold elsewhere for R2000 or less. So there prices are standard prices for GC solar provided equipment, but they will rip you off for any extras. DON'T TRUST THEM.

false advertising on things that they don't have. They will deliver old items and pretend the office didn't know and then blame it on delivery guys. They don't like refunding customers their money.rubbish company.

Very unhappy with this branch. I phoned ahead to confirm if they had stock and once I got there, no stock but you can use this and that and it will work too. The whole point of confirming stock on hand went out the window.
