The course was well-structured, combining solid theory with practical hands-on training in line with South African standards. The facilitators were knowledgeable and supportive, and the practical sessions helped me gain real confidence in system design and installation. The training environment was professional, and it was great to connect with others in the solar PV field. I highly recommend this course to anyone looking to enter or grow in the renewable energy space. Thanks to the Green Solar Academy team for an excellent learning experience.

I recently completed the SuperSolarSchool at Green Solar Academy, and it was an excellent experience! The course is very well structured, with a perfect balance between theory and practical training. I traveled so long distance from Addis Ababa , Ethiopia to Cape town to build up my confidence in Solar technologies by taking training at the GREEN Solar Academy. In my current role as senior WASH expert /coordinator I am responsible to design water pumping PV systems and to sign off installations and contract payments . I acquired the required knowledge by reading online materials and taking few online courses . However , I had skill gaps to commission , sign-off installations and endorse payment to contractors with confidence . To fill this skill gap , I have decided to take the long journey -traveling to Cape town to take the training in practice. I have taken a one-week training entitled " SuperSolarSchool" from July 05- July 11,2025 at GREEN Solar Academy in Cape Town consisting of theoretical classroom lectures and practical sessions on installation and commissioning of solar system installations . The teaching methodology and materials were well organized and simple to learn. Now , after completing a five day training, my knowledge and skill on solar system design and installation has grown a lot and it was the right decision to make such a long journey and invest to improve my career path. I have also taken two days’ theoretical and practical assessment which I believe will entitle me to SAPVIA PV GreenCard certified installer. A part the knowledge gained from the course and course materials , it was a wonderful experience to learn from participants who generously share their knowledge and experience as electrical engineers and certified electricians .

I would highly recommend the Super Solar School course. It was a great balance of theory and practical for an introduction to the industry and preparation for the PV Green Card Assessment. All course presenters have high technical knowledge of the industry and course material.

The course is loaded. 5 Days of intense training with the minimum breaks, so money well spend. The training material made available in hard and soft copy is impressive. You receive a ledger on the first day with all the notes and exercises and you also receive a memory stick with all presentations, template, exercise answers and many more to assist you during the course, but also afterwards. Once completed you join a group of professional on a WhatsApp group which share problems and assist each other with solutions. I can recommend this course.

The professionalism at GreenSolar Academy is at the highest level, from the administrator, Tsakani to the facilitators. From the facilitators, Junior takes the cake.

The SupperSolarSchool, is a comprehensive course that start at the basics and take you all the way through, to the design and installation of PV systems. The facilitators has a fast knowledge of PV systems as they have hand on experience of installing, designing and maintaining of PV systems. This course is highly recommended to any one that wants to know more about solar.
