For anyone thinking of installing a solar system on their house, I can definitely recommend HPP Solutions. In February we had an 8Kva Solar system installed by Herman, who worked mainly with his son, resulting in a very professional and neat job. We have an off-grid system as we hoped to divorce ourselves completely from Eskom. Our electricity consumption is slightly higher than normal with floodlights on all night, so a single 10kWh battery didn’t quite make it through the night. Getting up in the early hours of the morning became a nightmare, so we decided on installing an additional 10kVa battery. Even though we have only 12 solar panels, we had more than enough unused sunlight to charge an additional battery. We again employed HPP Solutions to install the second battery, which also necessitated moving the original battery to a different location. All of this work was done by Herman and his son in about half a day, with a very professional looking result. Now our system carries us through the night without having to change over to Eskom.
