In my experience, the service and feedback from Solarzone is very bad. I have an ongoing issue with Solarzone and this is my experience thus far. If Solarzone eventually rectify their performance then I would happily give them a good review, but until then I cannot recommend them.

Like most South Africans, I felt overwhelmed by loadshedding on the one hand - and trying to make sense of all the contingency options on the other hand. Solarzone came highly recommended to me by a solar expert working in the industry - and I am so grateful that they crossed my path. The service I received from Rainer and his team has been professional, courteous, to the point and on time throughout - and I am as grateful for their precision work as I am knowing I can rely on them in future. I have done a lot of homework / research before committing to a course of action and can wholeheartedly recommend Solarzone to anyone looking for reliable solutions and high-end service.

The South African energy landscape is unreliable, and the prospects of any meaningful improvement in the quality, reliability and predictability of the provision of household energy by the monopoly utility provider - ESKOM - over the next decade or two are remote. It is for this quality-of-life reason that my wife and I looked at the provision of a more reliable alternative and, after a few false starts with fly-by-night operators, decided to engage Solarzone to assist us in providing a sustainable PV system as an energy alternative for our home in Struisbaai. Our goal was to become as independent of existing power grids as is possible. The solution we implemented made provision for a system where an array of 28 solar panels, together with a strong battery bank, and a continued link to the grid (to receive energy as required) formed the baseline. This base was then supplemented by a heat pump and a ring main. The implementation of a PV systems in South Africa is expensive and the capital outlay is significant. Our break-even calculations indicated that we would need to be patient and invest with a long term view. Our system was delivered a few days ago and, while any measurement on or around winter solstice (read cloudy, cold, rainy weather) at the geographic southern tip of Africa is not a reliable indicator of success, I have no hesitation in confirming that our solar panels and battery bank are already making a significant difference to our energy consumption requirement. This is a great start and we are optimistic that our decision will be vindicated. I am currently located 7,500 km away from the system itself, yet I have access to a simple, efficient, monitoring app that provides online information. This makes me proud that we selected Solarzone as our implementation partner. I also wish to commend Solarzone for the friendly, efficient, professional way in which the implementation was completed. Our installation was not the easiest to complete as the pitch of our roof is far steeper than normal roofs and, together with the prevailing wind, made the panel mounting task a harrowing experience. We have no hesitation in recommending Solarzone to anyone who, having taken the decision to implement a PV system, wishes to ensure that they receive a meticulous installation, professional advice, ongoing engagement and a friendly crew.
