The business from Hell. They simply took over the company which installed my solar system. In 5 years never came to check or perform any maintenance although reach out several times to them but no answer. My inverter has died asked them to come over to see what's wrong as they were the one who were responsible for maintenance. Guy came look at it, says it's beyond repair, spent may be 30 min max and left. Promise to send new offers for the new inverter but 4 weeks later still waiting. Few days later got an invoice of total R3127,00 for call out fee. I had few other company's around and call out was never more then R800. All in all no service no maintenance, no repairs been done although they were responsible but they came with hefty BILL . Never again will be using this company and advise the others to stay away and look someplace else. Terrible service for astronomical prices.

The installation was not done correctly. Wood screws were used to secure the brackets for the panels to the roof. During a recent storm, both the panels and brackets were blown off the roof. The panels were damaged, roof leaked in and the ceiling was completely damaged. This has resulted in a R72000 cost to fix everything and replace the panels. They use subcontractors and not own installers. It has almost been a year since installation, no coc and registration was done by them (all of which was part of the package).Micasa are not taking responsibility and unresponsive to queries raised. What a big scam. See you in Court.

When we looked to install solar, we first had a quote from another company that were inflexible and posed too high a risk. we nearly canned the idea of solar, however looked at option to install the Elon system for our geyser. We spoke with Wim (director of Micasa) and he then passed our details on to Barend who deals with the sales side. We requested Barend to provide us with pricing for just the Elon system, as well as full solar options. While the pricing was a bit higher than the first company, the quality of Micasa products are way higher and are council approved whereas the other companies were not . Best of all, they were prepared to accept our proposed deal which was to place all the funds in our attorneys trust account and to pay out against set benchmark's as well as have a non-standard contract. We chose the full solar system of Sunsynk invertor, 7.5kwh battery and 14 panels, which is adequate for our needs (will vary from family to family). While there was a slip in communication, we were able to revert back to Barend, who quickly ensured that the communication process was corrected and thereafter that we were kept up to date of how far the procurement of the equipment was etc (there are delays in securing all the components of the project due to demand etc). The engineer team (Liana and her husband) are excellent, the installation team is top draw, they go about their business in a quite and respectful manner with each other, no bad language or poor dress code as seen in a lot of industries (Jovaan and his team with oversight by Jeffrey are our preferred recommendation), and the after sales support adds comfort in the event of anything going wrong after installation and system being turned on. While placing funds in attorneys trust account does add to the cost, it is worth the price as it adds comfort and reduces the risk for both parties. It also ensures that payout happens when system is fully installed and that council approval has been obtained in order for system to be turned on (legal requirement otherwise cannot turn on solar until this happens). Micasa have certainly set a high benchmark with their quality work and products, which others can only aspire to - we have already recommended them to friends and family, with a number of them keen to engage with a project that suits their needs. A big thumbs up to Barend, who was a star throughout our project and made a stressful time much easier to manage by his helpfulness and level of assistance and support (keep up the excellent work Barend). Happy to chat with anyone who might require some input, subject to going Micasa first clearing with us.
