The Lunar Solar team installed a 10kw Sungrow Inverter with a 15kw Sungrow Battery Module and 15x 605W Longi panels north facing on my property in the southern suburbs. Excellent service, knowledgeable team and very neat setup. I am now powering my house, protected from load shedding and offsetting a large electricity bill that will only escalate with electricity tariff increases. What a great investment! The quality of service and hardware was/is good. Although they had to reschedule the installation appointment about five times, I can testify that their communication was excellent. The installation was done quick and neatly and we are satisfied with the work.

Pre-Installation Experience: Your team demonstrated strong expertise in SigEnergy solar solutions, which was a key factor in my decision. It was reassuring to know that you had prior experience with SigEnergy installations — something not all installers can claim. Pricing was competitive, though not the lowest, but I value quality and reliability over cost alone, and Lunar Solar stood out in that regard. Communication Challenges: Unfortunately, communication was a weak point in the process. My installation was confirmed to start on a Friday and complete on Saturday. I had arranged travel from abroad specifically for this, assuming all was on track. However, I only received notice of a delay upon arrival in South Africa — an email stating the installation would now begin on Monday due to overruns on other jobs. This was unacceptable, and I shared my concerns with your team. To your credit, you responded quickly and managed to begin the installation on Friday as originally planned. However, Saturday brought further delays. I waited the entire day for the team, receiving updates that they were running late but would still arrive. By 4 PM, I had to cancel the wait, having lost a full day that could have been used productively. Communication from the office was not proactive, and time estimates were overly optimistic. This is an area that needs significant improvement. Installation Quality: On a positive note, the installation team was excellent. Onsite communication was clear, layout and cable routing were discussed and agreed upon, and the workmanship was neat and professional. Daily clean-up was thorough, and I have no complaints about the quality of the installation itself. Overall Rating: Installation Quality: 5/5 Communication: 2/5 Would I Recommend Lunar Solar? Yes — Lunar Solar will get the job done, and they’ll do it well. Just be prepared to stay on top of communication. If that aspect improves, you’ll have a truly outstanding offering. Lunar Solar assisted me with expanding my existing installation in April '25 which was handled very professionally. The 1 or 2 concerns raised were dealt with swiftly and more than satisfactory.  Required some assistance recently with batteries not charging and Francois responded super quickly and had it resolved within minutes. These guys know what they are doing. Super knowledgeable and a pleasure to deal with. Can highly recommend Lunar Solar.
