Civic Group

Initial install was poor quality. Bad after hours support. No COC. Install team are unprofessional. Smoking and coughing at my backdoor for hours on end. I had 2 other installers tell me the install was done poorly and the inverter setup incorrectly. However when the setup was corrected to a lithium battery setup(as that's what I have) the system goes into alarm mode and restarts for no reason. Civic response was to set it as gel batteries again. They did not fix the issue they put a band-aid on it, and my batteries are probably paying the price. Worst Solar installer I have had to deal with.

Initially dealing with Civic was fantastic, getting the install done and the system up and running. That's where the good ended, i never got a COC for the new system as they didn't want to work on the previous wiring ,after hours support when lightning hit the system took 2 months to conclude, in which time i had no inverter system. Battery was replaced, Inverter was repaired. Inverter stopped working 8 months later, for no reason, warranty was only 6 months. I had to purchase a new inverter for another 30 000 with the install, the team who did the install scratched the original battery case heavily in transit when they took it to test, as well as the brand new inverter. Big scratch over the screen.

We had n bad experience with Civic solar group in Vanderbijlpark. My father bought a portable inverter/battery unit from them in order to power my mother's oxygen machine during load shedding. The oxygen machine draws current in such a way that the battery should last approx 4 hours. After just a few weeks, the battery lasted only an hour and doesn't charge when connected to the mains. We did return the unit to them, and they said that they would return it to the factory. This took months, and when we eventaully got the unit back, it was n a worst condition than when we bought. After we received the unit back, the fuse was removed and then they claimed it was problably stolen by their own storeman. My mother cannot breathe without this machine, and we put our trust in Civic solar group in Vanderbijlpark by purchasing this unit. Now we had to make alternative arrangements....spending more money to keep the oxygen machine running. They simply do not seem to care. We want our money back and are now forced to seek legal advice. Put yourself in our shoes civic group, what would you have done????

Now this is a team that know what they are doing. Out to assist me on short notice despite not even having them install my system to start with (and I wish I had gone with them). Immuel and Andries were extremely helpful and I'd like to commend them on customer service like I've never seen before. Keep it up Gentlemen and Civic Group!

They sell sub standard products. And after a short period of time the product stops working, en does not deliver to the standards that they promise. The after sales service is poor quality, we did return the unit within an acceptable period of time and recieved a unit back that is in an even worse condition that we returned it.

Imile and his team where super efficient and responsive to my needs. I can Highly recommend the Civic group . Thank you for your amazing service

Regarding my C-bus home automation. Andries and his team was efficient, punctual and willing to assist where they could! Qualities rarely seen these days. Thank you Civic!
