We recently had an Apollo APIHP-15 Integrated High Pressure solar geyser installed by East Rand Solar. This geyser is equipped with a GeyserWise controller, allowing us to easily adjust thermostat settings, monitor the geyser's temperature, and schedule thermostat timers based on our needs. It even features a meter to track the electricity usage required for heating. Initially, I was skeptical about choosing a solar geyser over alternatives like LP Gas, unsure if it would truly deliver the promised savings. However, after almost a week of using it, I'm thrilled to report that we haven't used any electricity for the geyser during this time. It's consistently maintained a temperature above 65 degrees by midday, even after nightly family showers. Previously, our geyser was located at the back of the house, 15 meters away from the bathrooms. With the new setup, the water is instantly warm, eliminating the need to let the tap run, resulting in additional savings. As a family of four, we've also observed a significant reduction in our daily electricity consumption, approximately 10 units per day. In summary, I highly recommend this solar geyser setup, particularly if you're considering a move away from the grid. It has proven to be a reliable and cost-effective choice for our household. Very disappointed, I went to their office set an appointment(in which they never came) , it's the second week now and still there's nothing. They don't get back to me like they always promise each time I call back for a follow up.

About 18 months ago, I used East Rand solar for supplying and installing a split solar geyser system at my home in Edenvale. This Geyserwise controlled system worked great and in our warmer seasons there was no need to use Eskom/grid power to supplement my geyser energy demand (200 L geyser, 1 person). Last week I finally decided to reach out to East Rand Solar to do a similar conversion for my mum's place in Vanderbijlpark. After some initial issues, my mum reports that the system is working brilliantly. Issues arose due to the original geyser not being installed correctly. East Rand Solar reinstalled the geyser correctly and then did the split system conversion.
