Uber Solar

I have two Uber Solar geyser systems, one with UberTrac and the other with UberSmart and Night Solar. Their motto is "Exceeding Expectations" and I must say that this couldn't be closer to the truth. James Green, James Trace, Zeenith, Noble and Simba provide service par excellence! The after sales support and service is amazing. The Uber Solar systems work really well and pay for themselves in a few years. We hardly need any Eskom electricity for our hot water needs (only on the coldest, cloudiest days, that don't happen that often in Jo'burg). With UberTrac and UberSmart, you can control when/if Eskom should be used for heating water on those cold/cloudy days. Otherwise, the sun does all the work supported by the Uber Solar team. Highly recommended!

I don’t like posting a negative review but I feel that one has to be honest for these reviews to have integrity. I have had my system since March 2022. It has worked well and the installation crew were great. However, the after-sales support has been truly terrible. Unfortunately, this is a critical test of whether to use a supplier for a significant capital project and I just can’t recommend UberSolar on this basis. In fact, I have counselled a number of people against using them. Ignored correspondence, feeble excuses and a disturbingly arrogant and defensive approach has been my depressing experience of UberSolar after the invoices were paid. Had I known what I now know about their approach, I would never have used them.

We have recently installed Uber Solar at home and are thrilled with the results. Their team was professional, installation was seamless and my electricity bills have decreased significantly. Highly recommend James & his Team .

Good service, just to note this geyser only gets you up to 42 degrees in heat. The balance will need to come from your electrical grid. Homework of gas geysers should be done when looking at a low cost saving solution.

Very unhappy with my installation. Firstly I specically chose the uber solar because James ensured me that it is the best and most sophisticated system on the market. I also chose to install the Ubersmart device which allows me to monitor and control my geyser via an app, only to find out that the Vertical installation recommended by the installer does not work effectively by showing the correct temperature. For almost 5 months they said they are investigating a solution with their App developer but have not come back to me. Secondly, the valves fitted with the innitial installation barely lasts 1-2months and I have had to replace 1-2 valves every second month (6x in total). Although the cost saving are great on electicitiy, the inconvenience and cost of replacing valves is not sustainable. Although the after sales support is good from the technician (Simba), I don't receive any feedback or solutions from the owner James. Very frustrating because my system is barely 6 months old

We used Uber Solar to install a solar geyser around a year ago and I have found them an extremely professional organisation. From assisting with set up to repairing hail damage, everything was done efficiently and quickly with plenty of advice provided. I highly recommend using Uber Solar.

James and his team have a great product here. Over the years i have purchased three systems for my house. Problems are sorted out quickly, all under the 10-year warranty. The latest generation is working great. Would recommend James, his team and his product.
