In light of the ongoing electricity crisis, I decided to install a solar powered system and used The Green Way Solar South Africa to do so. What a pleasure: Jayrid, Brett and the team were quick to attend to the installation, answered any concerns I had and informed me as to the installation progress on a daily basis. The team were professional, punctual, friendly and tidy throughout the process. The entire installation was done in just 3 days! The company also continues monitoring the system, to ensure that the installation is providing the necessary energy needs to my home. I would highly recommend them for solar energy solutions. I gave them a short, after completed an online form I was contacted by Patience Sibanda who was friendly and ready to help. She collected my power requirements. Design tech team contacted me in couple of days with the design and make appointment for site visit. Very professional and punctual. The installation team was very professional, clean and punctual. The post installation hand over and customer education was impressive for the person who didn't know much about the Solar system. Well done to Richard and team for the job well done! I was really worried when I started this journey as I wanted to find an installer who wasn't going to steal my money, do a good job, be able to support the system and not just chase the big money behind installs and lastly who is going to be here in 10 years' time when something needs replacing/breaking. There are many installers out there and The Green Way did an install for my neighbour. If you can inspect an existing system and ask the question what they would have done differently if they re-did their installation from scratch, then that gives you a good idea that installation was of good quality and the system correctly sized and more importantly the company is real and not going to steal your money. System design process went smoothly. A whole lot of questions + utility bills and then a few options presented. Then a whole lot more questions from my side which where all patiently and expertly answered. Finally, I committed and had to wait 3 months. This is the SA reality - there is a lot of demand for solar. Part of the wait was myself wanting specific components, alternatives components were given to pull in the time, but I figured load shedding has been with me for 2 years, what's another 3 months. The install happened on the date they said it would and took 5 days with a very professional and knowledgeable team. Each day they left the site clean and arrived when they said they would. As with any complicated installation in an old house there are unforeseen snags along the way - these where all dealt with fairly and smoothly. After 1 month of operation my MPPT stopped working (i.e., sun not giving me power but rest of system ok). Mixed feelings here as this is Victron but I guess even the best cars break down. I got to test The Green Way's support - who removed my MPPT that same day and replaced it 5 days later with a new one that they purchased on their cost while Victron was inspecting the unit. This was really decent of them as they could have charged me 2 call outs and made me wait for Victron to fix/replace the unit. I'm glad I went with a modular system as if this was an integrated system then the entire system would be down for 5 days. 2 months into owning the system, my electricity bill is halved (and this is winter) and load shedding schedules are a thing of the past (at least until I get to the first robot outside my house). I strongly recommend the The Green Way and with their way of doing business I'm certain they will be around in 10 years time when I need new batteries/something breaks.

Installing solar from The Green Way Solar has been one of the best service experiences we've ever had in upgrading our home. The system is great quality and has barely needed any attention over the 3+ years we've had it. From the accurate assessment of our needs, to the neat & professional installation process (with minimal down time), to the follow up service, we have been satisfied customers. I have been particularly impressed by the Green Way technicians, their great communication and how they conducted themselves respectfully in my home. My overall impression is that Green Way puts the customer at the centre of their work.
