I've been with Go Solar for around three years, and it's been a fantastic investment. Their systems are reliable, but what truly sets them apart is their passionate and dedicated maintenance team. They're not only knowledgeable and helpful — they often offer their personal mobile numbers without being asked, just to ensure you're supported quickly if anything comes up (which is rare). That kind of commitment is hard to find. Highly recommended! Regards Sean

We have sign-up with GoSolr 3 months ago. The whole process from the first visit by the consultant Rehan de Kock up till the installation went smoothly and the customer service is excellent. Since installation we havent experience any problems. The few tomes I called them the service andninfo received was great. I highly recommend GoSolr as a partner to go off the grid.

Im going to give an account of my experience with Gosolr. The response from my interest on Facebook was very prompt. The consultant guided us through the necessary steps to determine the correct size of system required. The necessary legal and viability issues were sorted out telephonically and the installation team came through on the agreed date. The installation was quick and professional and completed within 8 hours. From my personal experience, having used the system from July 2025, the prescribed system is insufficient. Let me qualify why I say this. The split that was understood would be an 80/20 draw with the 20% being from the grid. We attained a 50/50 split because the geyser consumption was eating away at the battery reserve in the evening. The daily production was nowhere near the assured 40kwh per day that was quoted for our system. The consultant warned us that geysers and aircons would consume alot of the electricty production capacity but I think that this should be explained to the end user that it doesn't consume alot , but it depletes the entire set of batteries. My layman opinion would be to have an extra battery installed to carry through the night. The 14 PV panels are able to generate power to sustain the home during the day and some days managed to sustain a consumption of about 6.5kwh using panel and battery as the source. The capability of the panels in my opinion is sufficient but storage capacity is insufficient. Once the batteries are full, the system switches to panel power which is perfect and is able to sustain the home until sunset. My note on this issue is that the panels are under utilised. My understanding is that all homes and consumption patterns are different. We consume alot of electricity in the mornings and evenings only. Other homes would have high consumption during the day. I think a greater storage capacity should be prescribed for homes active in sundown situations. We have learnt thus far to use the system to our benefit. We have also added a gas geyser to our home to help reduce grid dependency and battery exhaustion. My recommendation is for people to speak to other users and get "real feedback" and guidance in selecting the appropriate setup. We can't afford to upscale our system so we have learnt to use it to best serve us. The app is very informative and easy to use which gives you detailed information and patterns. This was our key to optimising our system. In conjuction with the gas geyser, we have gone from a daily consumption from 35-40kwh per day to 5-7 which per day. Our grid purchase is about R350 per month. Our gas purchase is about R800 per month ( which will reduce significantly in summer) The convenience of solar power and the relief of avoiding eskom tarrif increases outweighs becoming an eskom parasite again. Please speak to your consultant and explain all your patterns of consumption. Ask for references and get accurate information to make your decision. Its a good decision forward. The Gosolr team has been helpful in resolving all our queries since installation.

I have had to troubleshoot my inverter for not kicking in during power outages via the Tech Support line. I have been fortunate to connect to Moegamat Alie Davids on a couple of calls - he exhibits sound technical knowledge, has patience like a saint, as well as exceptional customer service, which includes following up to confirm that everything was in order - even after his shift has ended. Thank you Moegamat - outstanding customer service!

Outstanding Service // Truly Above and Beyond Mr. Imtiaz Floris from Go Solar has been nothing short of exceptional. He began assisting me on 24 December 2025 and stood by me every step of the way until every issue with my solar system was fully resolved. From diagnosing and resolving a faulty inverter, coordinating a full replacement, restoring apps that were repeatedly going offline, to navigating and fixing complex account-merging issues. Mr. Imtiaz handled it all with remarkable patience, professionalism, and dedication. No matter how challenging or time-consuming the problem, he never once stepped back or gave up. He stayed committed until everything was working perfectly. What truly sets him apart is his unwavering support and follow through. He didn’t just provide service, he took ownership of the entire process and ensured a complete resolution. I can confidently say that 5 stars simply isn’t enough to reflect the level of service I received. Mr. Imtiaz represents excellence in every sense, and Go Solar is incredibly fortunate to have someone of his caliber. Highly recommended without hesitation. Best regards Lucian Meissenheimer
