If 0 stars were an option, I would select it without hesitation. I spent approximately R260,000 on a Victron solar system after a full on-site consultation with this company. During this consultation, I physically showed the consultant both of my geysers — one 5kW and one 3kW — and explained in detail how they are used in daily household operation. I also made it very clear multiple times that my requirement was simple: Eskom should only be used when there is no solar available. I specifically stated that my Eskom usage should remain low and only act as a backup. This was a non-negotiable requirement and the entire reason for installing such an expensive solar system. I also asked the engineering department to design an appropriate system for our household based on these real-world loads. I trusted them to do exactly that. I did not micromanage the quote. I trusted their expertise. I trusted their 5-star reputation. I trusted that the engineers would design a system that could realistically run my home as discussed — including the geysers. That trust was a huge mistake. After installation, it became clear that the system cannot practically run the geysers without rapidly draining the batteries and forcing grid usage. As a result: My entire family now has to rotate around hot water schedules We are constantly forced to monitor the app We cannot freely use hot water like a normal household The system does not operate the way it was sold to us Eskom is being used far more than what was discussed as acceptable The system is now a daily stress point instead of a solution To be clear: My grid usage has not decreased in the way that was discussed, and I am now sitting with a massive monthly bank repayment for the solar system on top of still paying Eskom. This completely defeats the purpose of the installation. Only after the system was installed did I start being told that my geysers are "too big" and that I must now spend another ±R30,000 on a solar geyser just to make the system usable. This was never disclosed upfront. If I had been told this BEFORE paying R260,000, I would have made very different decisions. So now I am stuck with: A R260,000 solar system An additional ±R30,000 that I now have to spend to fix a design problem A household that has to live around energy restrictions And a system that does not meet the requirements clearly explained during the consultation When I raised these issues formally, instead of accountability or solution-driven engagement, I was met with: Denial that the issue is a design problem Claims that there is "no record" of what was verbally discussed Requests for proof rather than ownership And ultimately, silence This entire situation could have been avoided with proper load analysis, honest disclosure, and correct engineering design from the start. I did not go to a cheap installer. I went to a company with only 5-star reviews because I believed they were professionals. I believed they had it under control. I believed they would design what I asked for. Right now, I am sitting with a financially devastating mistake, constant household frustration, and a system that does not deliver what was promised in practice. I strongly caution any potential customer: Do not assume anything. Do not trust verbal assurances. Get every single load, geyser, and expectation in writing — or you may land in the same situation I am in now. Below I will add pictures of the installation they put the batteries up with only one two screws per battery instead of 4 and they are loose they can just pop out as per pictures and type of quality work you can expect from greenhouse energy even the panels are not aligned you can see the bump in the picture all this I am fine with as long as the system works but it doesn't not cool guys really didn't expect this from you guys

Like many other reviews, our family's story is a happy one: from start to completion, the service from GreenHouse was highly professional; defined by thorough planning, continuous and meaningful communication, attention to detail, adherence to budgets and timelines, and a constant feeling that we were being cared for by people who took their jobs seriously. Before installing our system with GH solutions, we'd had a big scare with another well-known solar installer who spent three months planning a system that couldn't even fit on our roof - telling us *on the day of installation* that we'd need to build an entire new structure to house the panels they had procured (sigh...) With GreenHouse, we got a detailed plan that was executed timeously and didn't involve a new car park having to be summoned! The system has been running for two months now, and already our electricity bill has dropped by R2.5K (offsetting more than the cost of the system itself) - and we now have the added benefit of being oblivious to when the local grid is offline. Special mention needs to go to Julian, who was an absolute pleasure to work with throughout our journey, often going above and beyond to make us feel informed and heard in a down-to-earth manner. Monique contacted me within minutes of logging my request via the website. Julian did a site visit and submitted a very professional proposal for the installation on PV panels and a Tesla Powerwall 3. Installation was scheduled and communication all the way was top-class. The installation teams were punctual, friendly, knowledgeable and all round did an excellent job. From start to finish, this has been an excellent experience and Greenhouse is highly recommended

I'm so glad I decided to use GreenHouse Solar. In order to quote you accurately, you will be asked to send them all your electricity bills for the past 6 months or a year. After that you get an extremely detailed proposal that is highly accurate, no false promises. The quote lists every part of the system, even down to connectors and trunking, so you know exactly what you are paying for. Their actual installation is incredibly neat and of the highest standard. I cannot fault them in any area. Even their communication is top level. We could not be happier. Best service you'll ever find.

Wonderful service delivery! I can wholeheartedly recommend GreenHouse energy subsequent to the installation of our home system. The entire process, from sales to handover, was pleasant and efficient. GreenHouse proposed multiple solutions for our home and took the time to talk us through this. Communication throughout was key and I knew what to expect and a timeline of how the process would work was presented. The installation team did an amazing job. Parts of our roof was quite difficult to reach and the team had to install panels on separate areas of the roof due to the layout of our roof - so it was not an easy and straight-forward installation. The installation is aesthetically pleasing and operates like dream. No more loadshedding!!! Very thankful to the entire GH team. Job well done and keep up the good work.
