GW Store recently completed my solar installation and I am extremely happy with the result. From start to finish the team was professional, efficient and a pleasure to deal with. The installation itself is incredibly neat, with all wiring, trunking and components carefully laid out and clearly labelled. The installers arrived on time, worked systematically, and left the site clean and tidy at the end of each day. They took the time to explain how the system works, answered all my questions . I also appreciated the clear communication from the office regarding scheduling, paperwork and follow‑up support, which gave me a lot of confidence in their after‑sales service. Overall, I would highly recommend GW Store for anyone looking for a reliable, professional and neat solar installation.

Bought our house that had many problems with the inverter previously set-up by another company. Contacted Jason and his team from GW, they have been very professional and knowledgeable around what best suites our needs. Yesterday, I decided to upgrade from a 5kva to an 8kva, installed brilliantly, on time and now can run entire house of batteries/PVs. In March last year (2023) we decided in some frustration, to put in a good but affordable solar solution. We didin't have a fortune to spend so we did our research carefully. My wife and I have been (semi) retired in Ramsgate KZN for about 2 years. It's a great little seaside village but like everyone else in the country we have been frustrated by the permanent and persistent Eskom loadshedding that disrupts both business and private life every day. We decided to source the Inverter, batteries and solar panels ourselves and then find a suitably qualified local (South KZN) firm to do the installation for us. This is important in a rural setting but probably less so in the big cities. We settled on a SunSynk 8Kva inverter, 2 x Sunsynk LIFe high capacity batteries and 12 JA 550 solar Panels. We (wisely - and I guess with a bit of luck too) chose Jason Sole and Gwstore.co.za to supply all of the equipment. They have branches in Gauteng and Cape Town and proved to be solid and reliable. In March last year the whole of SA seemed to be ordering Solar solutions and reputable firms like Gwstore.co.za and others were swamped by orders and by the almost impossible logistics of importing solar equipment. Lots of unqualified fly-by-night operators jumped into the market and caused chaos and quite a lot of customer disaster too. Fortunately for us we had Jason Sole (owner of gwstore) handling the equipment because he and his colleagues are most definitely not newbies in this arena - they have been supplying clean solutions to SA customers for about 18 years, they know how to run a successful, sustainable business and how not to be beguiled by the profits to be made in such an unusual gold-rush. He (Jason) was (is) very easy to talk to and he puts in huge hands-on effort every day to serve his customers. He is also a properly trained and qualified Master installer himself (for SunSynk - and probably for a few other brands too). We discussed our SunSynk choice with him and placed the order on-line. He made it happen despite the huge disruptions in the market and the huge demands by thousands of South Africans for similar equipment at the time. At one stage he upgraded our panels at no cost to get the final solution down to us in South KZN. I'll do a seperate Review for our Installers (Bendigo Electrical of Port Shepstone) but they were able to work really well with Jason and GWStore to get the kit installed properly. All in all it took about 6 weeks from order to commissioning (a record in those heady days). We've had the solution running now for almost a year and we could not be more pleased. No Eskom disruptions for us and big monthly savings on our electricity bill. We saved around R60K by sourcing the equipment ourselves but we only got that advantage because we chose our supplier and our installers very carefully. We sadly know of several unfortunate people down here that chose fly-by-night vendors and ended up with major headaches and failures. So ... We give our total 100% unreserved recommendation to Jason and GWStore.co.za. They are experienced, ethical, knowledgeable, pleasant and hard-working and we would not go anywhere else if we needed solutions like this in the future. Yes - They could have done the installation too and we know it would have been of a high standard. However we wanted a local (South Coast) installer physically near us for the future running and maintenance of the installation. The combination of GwStore and Bendigo was a total winner for us and has remained so. Thank you Jason and your GwStore colleagues.
